Patriotic Wreath
I saw this wreath awhile back on Lorie's blog and decided it would look fancy in the good ole Red, White and Blue. I finished it up today and I adore it. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do, it was super simple and very fun to make!
I am really enjoying putting a new wreath up every couple of months and hope to find something fun for the early fall late summer season. If any of you have ideas pass them my way. My kids think I have gone over the edge because I have never before decorated the inside of my house let alone the outside, both of which are decorated now. I am loving this growing up business!
Stay tuned for my jammie fashion show as I have started new jammies for Lynner and Lippy Lou. They are turning out cute but I can't find my iron...what's a girl to do!

Been crazy busy so here is some crafty from the past...
About a year and a half ago we had a party to go to for a 4 year old and I find it really hard to buy kids toys knowing that most of them have WAY TOO MANY! I read somewhere about giving the gift of a play date with a friend so I decided that we would take Lippy Lou's friend out to McDonald's and then to the park to play.
Here is the "gift" card I made her to announce what we would be doing.
Of course I always ask the parents first to be sure the child will be able to go, but by far these gifts have been the hit of the party. When the day came to go on our play date the girls had a blast and Riley talked about it for weeks afterwards!

Day Time Use for Your Night Guard....
The Fish got ahold of my night guard at some point this morning and was using it as a tunnel for his truck. My first instinct was to grab it away as fast as I could and get it cleaned, but I stopped and watched and quickly grabbed the camera before he moved on to the next adventure. I am trying to slow down and enjoy the little things and seeing my little guy being creative was one of those moments any mom wants to savor. And heck, I guess if it gets some day time use it makes it worth all the $$ we paid out right???

It's a Goodwill Party...or in my case a Craigslist Party...
Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick is having a
I have had this little gem in my garage for a few weeks and Sarah's Goodwill Party motivated me to get er done! My son needed a new dresser really bad so of course I went on to craigslist to have a peek at what I could find and I found this...
It had about a 1/4 inch layer of paint on it so I had to sand it down and start over but I turned it into this...
Which I love, it will go perfect with his new furniture. I still need to put contact paper in the drawers because they are still sticky from the 70's version that was in there when I got it. I will show off more pictures later once I have it moved into his room.
